I know Alpacas come from the Andean mountains and are used to cold weather, but this is ridiculous. Seriously! If it's not worrying about if the babies are too cold, or making sure they have enough hay, or a frozen water pipe.......I really want spring to get here soon. Okay enough ranting, this is really the first winter we have had in 4 years, so I guess I should count my blessings. We had a couple of new cria's in September, and we have added a couple tom turkeys to our menagerie. I would still like to add some chicks next month to add to the flock and maybe a peacock. We are also going to breed about 4 to 6 of our girls so we will have new babies in 2019. Everyone will have to come out and visit.
2017 was a great year for Timber View Farms, and we look forward to an even better 2018. Thank you to all of our customers and visitors. We have the Spring Farm Tour over Mothers Day Weekend. Make sure you put it on your calendars. We will shear that weekend and if you have never seen it done, it is quite interesting. Make it a point to spend a day in the country and stop by Timber View Farm!
